Established in 1874, the Pinjarra Cricket Club provides the only access to community club cricket within the Murray Shire. With almost 200 members, including men’s, women’s and junior’s teams, the PCC prides itself on being an inclusive club and works hard on building a great community spirit of belonging and respect.
Moving into Season 2021/22, we anticipate fielding 4 Men’s teams (A, B, C & E Grade), 2 Women’s teams (A & Social Grade), Junior teams (All ages) and 30 future junior cricketers involved in a skills programme.
With the recent change of committee, our focus continues to be building on the hard work of previous committees to offer access to cricket for all, with a significant focus on developing junior players, promoting women in cricket and providing a family-friendly club where everyone can feel welcomed and supported.
Being successful on and off the field requires more than individual players, coaches and volunteers; it requires a community approach and a place to develop and grow as a club. Unfortunately, this season, we face the challenge of relocating our current club facilities to a temporary location to meet legal requirements due to circumstances beyond our control. On a positive note, the move will allow PCC to demonstrate a family-friendly focus by creating a designated children’s play area and improved access to all.
